Description
Using a collaborative approach ensures mutual cooperation of the multidisciplinary team supporting the goals for the trauma patient population. Maintains regular communication and serves as a liaison between other trauma hospitals, receiving hospitals, and other related members of the team in order ensure appropriate treatment for patients within the PMC Trauma catchment area. Use critical thinking skills in planning, priority setting and decision-making while ensuring working systems exist to support the staff's ability to meet patient needs and are positive. Act as a role model inspiring others through displayed optimism. Requires 24- hour accountability for trauma related operations. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Master's Degree in Nursing, Business or Healthcare related field within 3 years of hire
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing
Minimum Experience: 5 years related clinical experience
Preferred Experience: 3 years progressive management experience
Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS - Healthcare Provider
Preferred Certification: Certification in specialty area of practice or role
Required License: Current CA RN License
Preferred License: Not Applicable
