Job Summary 
 
The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. This individual is accountable for the following systems: pc/server/storage/printing systems that support the EMR system and other Enterprise software. Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual optimal performance. 
 
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures through documentation. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups, updates, and anti-virus definitions. Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. Perform daily backup and archival operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary. Assist in design and support of server system and supporting software. Setup, configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft SQL databases which could include creating, changing, and / or deleting database files, triggers, objects, and users. Track server and database space utilization to ensure proper space is available at all times. Assist with planning, implementing, and supporting the pc/server/storage infrastructure plan. Apply PC/server OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis as defined by the IT department. Assist with maintaining data center environmental and monitoring equipment. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Maintain Hyper-V environment using Failover Cluster console and other tools as necessary. Maintain SAN infrastructure - firmware upgrades, system stability, etc. Answer help desk line and direct help desk tickets to the appropriate parties to complete the open trouble ticket. Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions. Assist in the phone system support including assignment and maintenance of pagers and phone directories. Set-up of new and modified end users within enterprise systems. Other System administration duties (including internal website administration, Application backup management, Domain/Enterprise software security management, Domain/Enterprise software user account management, e-mail systems, and applications support). 
 
Ability to speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.  Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail).  Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop-down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.  Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements 
 
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, Engineering or comparable experience in related field, ITIL v3 or 4. 
Preferred Education:  
Minimum Experience: 2 years related professional experience 
Preferred Experience: 5+ years of general IT experience, preferably supporting end users.  
Experience with different OS versions, including, Windows XP, 7, 10, Mac 10.15+, Server 2003-2022. 
Advanced troubleshooting skills. 
Advanced experience with Active Directory. 
Moderate systems administration exposure to: RightFax, Office 365, Veeam, Cisco Unified Communications (CUCM, Unity, UCCX, Finesse) VMWare, AWS Storage gateway, Mimecast, Zix, Dell Unity Storage, PKI (familiarity with both public and self-signed), PowerShell, and command line. 
Exposure to DUO MFA, Meraki, Cisco ASA, Microsoft Intune
