Description
Under the direction of the Director, Multi-Specialty Operations, the Practice Manager will lead and facilitate the overall operations, development and success of the clinical site. Ensures the highest level of service, productivity and coordination with every patient, physician, and team member interaction.
* Oversees the operations of clinical and non-clinical care for the site(s), ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical records documentation
* Maintains operational and strategic site specific action plans that account for the organization's goals, objectives, tactics and accomplishments
* Develops and implements practice standards and oversees all tasks related to the financial performance of the practice, including strategic planning such as forecasting, developing projections and providing recommendations and justifications
* Oversees responsibility and monitors progress for all assignment groups in completion of onboarding and offboarding tasks associated with mid-level providers and providers
* Provides direct supervision to support staff (front and back office) ensuring optimal patient flow and high clinical quality
* Ensures timely communication with Palomar Health Medical Group's departments and other resources to resolve problems, develop/improve relations, and further the mission, goals and values of Palomar Health Medical Group
* Serves as the key problem-solving resource for staff on patient issues. Studies patient needs/trends and recommends solutions to ongoing patient care problems.
* Collaborates with operations leadership on development and implementation of clinic goals, policies, procedures, budget plans and work standards
* Monitors and improves practice key performance indicators related to revenue cycle, patient satisfaction, and access standards
* Facilitates medical practice meetings related to clinic effectiveness and emergency/disaster response systems
* Collaborates with all subject matter experts including human resources, information technology, finance, clinical services and practice development
* Assists with budget planning and approves department expenditures
* Ensures staff is trained on abiding and adhering to HIPAA requirements
* Ensures excellent customer service by setting and enforcing expectations for employees
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
