Description
The Provider Informatics Lead assists in the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of health informatics systems/applications for Palomar Health. Works closely with the medical staff, clinical, technical and operational teams to ensure all technology solutions align with Palomar Health goals. Works collaboratively with clinical teams to align information technology use with best practices for improved clinical outcomes. Facilitates the development and maintenance of clinical data and user training materials that comply with regulatory requirements. Completes workflow analysis to identify opportunities to improve Electronic Health Record (HER) functionality.
Responsible for the oversight of education delivery specific to the Electronic Health Record (HER) and other related technologies that support patient care. Ensures educational solutions are flexible, adaptable and responsive to the needs of the medical staff and other clinicians. Works collaboratively with Physician Liaison Specialists to support the delivery of provider on-boarding and ongoing education/support. Builds and maintains positive relationships with stakeholders to create trust for seamless technology adoption. Exercises exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service, issue identification, and problem-solving. Maintains a strong work ethic, effectively manages competing priories and accomplishes assignments with minimal supervision. Applies critical thinking, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Proficient in utilizing tracking tools to document activities and use data to monitor effectiveness. Promotes best practice, customer focused learning experiences. Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
Regularly interacts with providers, other clinicians and hospital support staff to improve the user experience and provider engagement. Autonomously addresses requests/issues brought forward by Physician Liaison Specialists, Medical Staff Services, Information Technology and/or Physician Leadership. Escalates to and communicates with the Clinical Informatics Manager and Chief Medical Officers as needed.

Job Requirements
| Minimum Education: | Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
| Preferred Education: | Master's degree in informatics, healthcare, management or other related field. |
| Minimum Experience: | 8+ years of experience (or a combination of education and experience) working in health care informatics with an emphasis on provider engagement in a hospital setting. |
| Preferred Experience: | Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other clinical software solutions; familiarity with Cerner is preferred. |
