Your Career 

Palo Alto Networks is looking for a
Senior Technical Revenue Analyst to help drive revenue accounting quality, revenue accounting process efficiencies and robust internal controls through the Company’s continued high pace of growth. This person will perform technical revenue accounting tasks while working with key stakeholders, supporting projects and implementing process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for various revenue accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP
  • Support monthly closing activities including, but not limited to, reviewing non-routine revenue transactions, performing accounting assessments, preparing accurate journal entries, and documenting revenue conclusions
  • Monitor revenue inbox to respond timely and appropriately to business requests
  • Research, resolve and operationalize complex and non-routine revenue accounting transactions
  • Identify actionable insights and suggest recommendations to address issues and improve accounting processes/efficiencies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and tackle problems
  • Ensure compliance with SOX 404 key controls
  • Assist with external audits and special projects as needed
Your Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline 
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Thorough understanding of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus
  • CPA or equivalent a plus
  • Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
  • Promotes collaboration and works well with others
  • Ambitious, detail-oriented, and maintains a positive attitude
