Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an 
SEC Reporting Director to join our External Reporting team. We are looking for someone with strong accounting and SEC reporting skills, who is a great collaborator and is passionate about delivering quality results and driving continual improvement in a dynamic, high-growth environment. This position will play a key role in our external reporting and share-based compensation close processes.

Your Impact
  • Manage all aspects of the annual and quarterly reporting process relates to SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K) and XBRL, responses to SEC comments and audit relationships
  • Manage/Direct accounting operations including overseeing the development of financial accounting processes and systems required to maintain reporting requirements
  • Responsible for managing the share-based compensation close and reporting process
  • Drives the quarterly close calendar and plays a key role in the earnings release process
  • Brief CFO and Disclosure Committee in preparation for SEC and Sarbanes-Oxley certifications
  • Resolve accounting issues arising from all business functions by applying technical guidance in consultation with our audit team
  • Play a key role in managing special projects, or partner with cross-functional teams as needed
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure effective and efficient accounting operations
  • Mitigates risk by establishing appropriate financial reporting and entity-level internal controls and then lead a full-scale project to document and enhance controls overall financial processes
Your Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent required
  • 12~15 years of relevant experience in public accounting firms and high-tech industry companies with extensive SEC reporting and technical accounting experience.
  • Excellent grasp of US GAAP and understanding of IFRS concepts
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to meet project deliverables
  • An ability to work well within a team structure and effect change cross functionally
  • Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and team building skills
  • Experience with SAP, Equity Edge Online and Workiva Wdesk is a plus
