We are looking for a motivated, intelligent, hardworking and creative intern to join the Autofocus team as a Big Data Intern. You will be part of a team that develops large scale distributed systems to aggregate, correlate and generate threat intel data that prevents successful cyber attacks. You will be working on projects with well-defined scope that has immediate and meaningful customer impact. You will be employing BigData tools & technologies to solve complex data problems at Petabytes scale. You will also take part in our regular Agile development process and be integrated into the team ceremonies.
Our global internship program trains the next-generation of cybersecurity talent across a range of specializations, from threat intelligence to information security, engineering, and marketing. The program also features a combination of challenging projects with tangible impact, engaging social events, and networking opportunities. Interns and recent graduates can learn about the network security industry from leading thinkers, grow their professional networks, and be part of a career-defining experience.

● Get exposed to different big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, ElasticSearch, HBase etc
● Learn about running engines such as OpenStack and Kubernetes
● Be proficient in Algorithms and data structures
● Have good knowledge of Java and Google Cloud
● Previous experience in big data is a plus
● Team player with a can-do attitude
Requirements – To apply, you must be pursuing a 4-year Undergraduate Degree with a GPA of 3.0 or above, a 2-year Master’s Degree or a Doctorate degree and returning to school in the fall. You must have the authorization to work within the United States.
Autofocus Team is part of our Cloud Delivered Security Services group. The team is responsible for building the first ever Palo Alto Networks Threat Intelligence services by aggregating all threat intel generated from various PANW products, deriving correlations and making the intel actionable. This will integrate with our various offerings like XDR, Demisto to enhance their security functionality. We employ Big Data technologies to solve some very interesting cybersecurity threat intel problems at scale.
