Your Career

As a GSI Systems Engineer, you will present our entire Palo Alto Networks solution to potential GSI Partners - crafting and delivering demonstrations of the products, gathering customer technical requirements, and making expert technical recommendations. It’s your technical expertise that gives our clients peace of mind that these solutions are right for their cybersecurity concerns.

Your Impact

                       Provide technical support in sales presentations, technical answers and solutions demonstrations

                       Triage and support the inbound and outbound opportunity identification process

                       Assists the joint sales staff in assessing potential application of Palo Alto Networks products and GSI services to meet customer needs

                       Prepare detailed product specifications, in conjunction with GSI and Palo Alto Networks sales and delivery teams, for the purpose of selling high-end products and solutions that fit the customer needs

                       Provide project scoping and coordinates internal specialists and interdepartmental activities

                       Customarily and regularly engage at GSI partners/customers facilities and deliver high impact presentations using strong technical skills, including leading product demonstrations and proof of concepts and lab build outs

                       Support GSI Partners webinars and UTDs

                       Effectively lead conversations about Palo Alto Networks solutions

                       Create and deliver compelling demonstrations of products and solutions that clearly differentiates from competitors or legacy security solutions

                       Identify and qualify new opportunities, and support technical pre-sales activities to opportunity closure

                       Maintain key partner technical relationships and effectively enable and use GSI channel partners to excel in a channel-driven sales model

                       Collaborate and drive solutions in the managed security space

                       Travel is required (up to 50% or as required)

Your Experience

                        BS in Computer Science or equivalent engineering qualifications

                        Experience as a successful SE, systems integrator, or equivalent experience

                        Prior experience selling network infrastructure based security appliances, such as Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches

                        Practical experience working with routing and switching products that will be installed adjacent to the Palo Alto Networks appliances

                        Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, both internally and externally

                        Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze complex multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution, often under pressure

                        Mature and effective organizational and time-management skills

                        Experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems (prior Active Directory/LDAP experience desirable)

                        Knowledge of L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing including OSPF and BGP, L4 Load balancing)

                        Experience selling, demonstrating, installing and troubleshooting network infrastructure security products

                        Experience training customers and partners on the technical subject matter, including new networking and security features

                        Experience in operating and deploying workloads on CSP ( AWS, GCP, Azure)

                        Experience in using and operating with public clouds and preferably certified with either AWS, Azure or GCP

                        Experience in devops, CI/CD and working knowledge of containers and orchestration (Swarm, Kubernetes) is a plus

                        Experience and proven track record  with working and supporting large GSIs (Eg. Accenture)
