Your Career

The People Program Leader - PMO will provide leadership and execution focus to the People Team Priorities and Programs at Palo Alto Networks. This role will deliver strong business impact and people outcomes through thoughtful, consultative leadership, ensure cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives are aligned to priorities, tracked, communicated transparently. 

The ideal candidate will partner with People leaders, COE’s and the business to shape and execute our key programs, thriving in a fast paced, high growth environment within a highly collaborative and execution oriented setup.

Your Impact

  • Provide strong program management capabilities, operate in an agile environment and lead cross functional teams and partners to deliver effective business processes and  deliver world class employee experiences 
  • Lead key people programs, collaborate with People stakeholders to ensure alignment of programs goals to business objectives and our values, development of program work-plan with workstreams, owners, milestones, KPIs, key dependencies
  • Development and definition of processes and systems requirements to deliver multi-year cross-functional strategic initiatives
  • Track progress of organizational goals and milestones, communicate progress, change management plans to keep all stakeholders informed, engaged, and inspired
  • Establish and manage functional QBRs - from conception to collection and tracking of action items to distribution and report of outcomes. Lead progress reviews with executives, share highlights, outcomes, KPIs, weigh trade offs, risks and options with recommendations
  • Develop evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas of improvement
  • Support business M&A strategy and deals from a People perspective across deal strategy, due diligence to post merger integration and ensure People objectives are top of mind through the process 
  • Represent the People Team cross-organizationally and partner closely with the members of the Corporate Development team, Finance, IT, Legal and a variety of other functions on aspects of the M&A deal from concept through integration 
  • Build strategic partnerships with key internal stakeholders and external partners, vendors, consultants to deliver on program goals  
  • Collaborate in the execution of an effective rhythm of the People business and optimize continuously in pursuit of employee experience and business impact with an agile mindset 
  • Use cross-functional knowledge and stakeholder perspectives and seek to understand issues, trends that may influence the business and the projects around them
  • Bring a People consultative mindset and deliver programs for the function across a breath of capabilities (recruitment, compensation, benefits, systems, operations, programs/processes, and on-boarding/engagement) 

Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, Master’s Degree or MBA preferred 
  • 10 years + of work experience in a similar ‘Program Management Leadership’ role, experience in Human Capital strategy and analytics
  • Management Consulting and Global Project Management experience highly valued. Agile Certification, PMP Certification or relevant project management experience preferred 
  • Ability to work across multiple People (HR) functions (staffing, learning & development, operations, communications, etc.) and experience collaborating with all business functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Operations, Legal, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively work in a matrixed environment, to bring structure and focus to the team while being agile in a time of constant change
  • Demonstrated excellence communicating and influencing executive leadership with succinct written presentation and thoughtful verbal communications. 
  • Comfort navigating a demanding, exciting and unpredictable environment
  • Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills, with a solution orientation
  • Experience partnering effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing executives
  • Experience working with Workday and multiple HRIS systems 
  • Experience with Google Docs, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, similar PM tools
  • Knowledge and familiarity with technology and the enterprise software and hardware industry, including current trends such as; Network Security and Cloud
