Your Career

We are looking for an ambitious senior ASIC software engineer to contribute to the overall ASIC software effort from architecture definition to production. In this role, you will be a key member of the ASIC team implementing complex software and drivers used in next-generation firewall products.

Your Impact

  • Algorithm development, support, and testing for various types of hardware search IP
  • Prototyping and evaluating experimental approaches to new search algorithms
  • Evolve search IP to address various use cases beyond current capabilities
  • Port software tests to hardware and support hardware specific features
  • Analyze search and table update rate performance and tweak software as needed to improve performance
  • Performance analysis of search algorithm, including search throughput, latency, table update rate, and capacity
  • Work closely with the hardware team to develop tests and debug test failures
  • Support lab bring-up and debug of ASICs/FPGAs

Your Experience

  • BS EE, CE or CS; or equivalent work experience required, MSEE preferred
  • 5-10 years of embedded C/C++ development experience
  • Experience with analyzing, debugging hardware simulations
  • Prior knowledge of algorithmic search is desired
  • Knowledge of networking and communications protocols desired
  • Strong leadership/communication/interpersonal skills required
  • Verilog/System Verilog experience desired
  • System C/C/C++ and Perl/shell script experience desired
