The Director, Digital (Brand Management) is responsible for building and leading digital capabilities and social media presence representing a digital marketing strategy for the Pacira product portfolio. The position will merge healthcare and digital landscape macro trends to define a strategy and operational framework across the surgical and non-surgical specialties for the product portfolio and overarching positioning of our product and corporate brands. The Director will ensure alignment to action plans in partnership with the franchise leads to ensure delivery of digital initiatives and programs with clear and business oriented KPIs.  The Director will collaborate across the Pacira organization and with vendor partners to coordinate and execute the digital marketing programs and strategy.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Define and articulates Pacira’s digital framework including all applicable digital/social media channels (targeting patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers), content strategy and, KPI dashboards for product portfolio
  • Partner closely with marketing/franchise teams, IT, vendors, and forming strategic partnerships, build, pilot and scale digital initiatives and capabilities into our brands/surgical and non-surgical areas
  • Lead and develop new HCP/Patient digital infrastructure, reflective of digital strategy framework
  • Develop, manage and optimize digital media and their respective content across all digital platforms in support of the Marketing and Commercial organizations’ strategic priorities
  • Oversee development, implementation, and execution of annual publication (print and digital) as well as media (ex. Google Display and Facebooks ads) plans working closely with marketing/franchise teams and key agencies
  • Review and refresh on ongoing basis search, SEO and other key drivers to grow and enhance product portfolio
  • Gain health care provider insights on beliefs, behaviors, and areas of information sourcing to demonstrate digital platforms in the non-personal outreach to health care providers
  • Oversee and support planning, process management and execution of site assets
  • Enlist and communicate with stakeholders to ensure necessary input is obtained
  • Develop key executive presentations and reports, as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will have supervisory responsibility (2-3 direct reports).

Interaction:
The incumbent will work closely with field sales, cross-functional team members and agency partners.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field from accredited college or university; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in marketing, preferably 2+ years of digital marketing experience in healthcare.
  • Product launch experience a plus
  • Consistent track record of leading successful digital strategies and marketing campaigns
  • Agency experience or prior experience managing agency partners a plus
  • Agile individual, capable of learning quickly and broadly with ability to grow as a leader
  • Experience in building out new capabilities and businesses
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels, engaging and enrolling people
  • Positive and solution oriented to create new paths
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and business acumen with focus on best practices and innovation and ensures digital initiatives generate material business and customer impact
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and team player
  • Proven content management, social media, paid media, and SEO track record
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30%  
  • Google Analytics and AdWords experience a plus
