The Compliance Associate will assist the Compliance Department in its core functions, which includes Federal and State aggregate spend reporting, training, drafting guidelines and compliance communications, vendor credentialing management, and auditing and monitoring.


  • Daily Compliance functions including:
    • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding federal and state transparency and limitation laws and regulations, including the federal Sunshine Act provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
    • Prepare and review aggregate spend data and manage data remediation efforts in preparation for federal and state reporting.
    • Monitor updates and changes in federal, state and local jurisdictions relevant to transparency reporting and pharmaceutical representative licensing and reporting requirements.
    • Assess and monitor the compliance of promotion and/or non-promotional business activities within the U.S., including conducting live monitoring, transactional reviews and audits.
    • Assist in the record review processes for transactional monitoring and auditing activities, including collaborating cross-functionally to identify and gather relevant supporting records, conducting records review to assess compliance with policies/procedures and escalating concerns as appropriate.
    • Serve as a compliance knowledge resource on internal processes, policies and procedures.
    • Track remediation of any monitoring/auditing findings and related follow up activities.
  • Assist in the development of processes, policies and standard operating procedures to be used across the company.
  • Other ad hoc analysis / projects as deemed appropriate.
  • Expected to either be a State Notary of the Public or to qualify as one within six months of the start date of the job.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

No staff supervisory responsibilities.



The Compliance Associate will work closely with the Legal, Commercial, Medical Affairs and Operations teams, as well as vendors and consultants.



  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • 2-3 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or biologic industry experience required.
  • 1year of compliance experience and/or an advanced degree in compliance required.
  • Experience remediating Federal and State transparency reporting data required.
  • Strong skill level in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy, keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment within multi-project and multi-product manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated research and organizational skills.
