The Director, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading the recruitment of top talent to strengthen the organization's capabilities and ensure it has the talent to meet current and future business needs. The role will lead talent acquisition programs, processes and systems targeted toward improving company performance while providing high-quality customer service to internal and is a member of the HR Leadership Team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify talent pools which ensure job openings are filled in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Develop strong relationships with business leaders to evaluate staffing needs and address any current or future gaps in talent (workforce planning).
- Provide managers with the tools they need to interview, select, convert and on-board candidates effectively.
- Oversee the requisition approval process; liaise with finance and hiring managers to ensure all positions are properly budgeted and approved.
- Provide Executive Leadership Team with reports outlining current hiring activity, new openings and the requisition approval process.
- Build Pacira employment brand quality and the overall candidate experience.
- Drive delivery of team performance through defined metrics and clear productivity standards.
- Partner with members of HR Leadership Team on training initiatives, process improvements, and implementation of an Applicant Tracking System/HRIS.
- Lead the Targeted Selection process for the organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position will have supervisory responsibilities.
Interaction:
- The incumbent will work closely with the HRLT, ELT and external partners.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in both insourced and outsourced talent acquisition; manufacturing or life science experience preferred

- Credible business partner with ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work at a strategic level while concurrently executing on more tactical matters
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong business acumen with sound critical thinking ability
- Proven team player with excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Works effectively with others as part of a team
- Demonstrated project management, organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and HRIS
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, move between spaces, reach with hands and arms and stoop. Close vision and the need to focus on computer screen, use of hands, fingers and wrist to type on keyboard and manipulate mouse. Will need to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds. Will be able to travel approximately 10-20%.
