Job Overview: 
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of trailers to ensure safety and performance. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. 
  
Responsibilities and Duties 
  • Diagnose and Repair: Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers, including brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and structural components. 
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing, ensuring trailers are compliant with safety regulations and industry standards. 
  • Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide recommendations. 
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and repairs completed. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service. 
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. 
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and repair techniques. 
  
Skills and Qualifications 
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive or diesel technology is a plus. 
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM certifications) are preferred but not mandatory. 
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. 
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. 
  
Physical Requirements 
Warehouse/Shop Environment 
  • Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs frequently.  
  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs occasionally.  
  • Must be able to lift/carry 100+ lbs infrequently.   
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
