About Pace:
Pace Transportation Services is an industry leader in heavy duty truck and trailer parts sales, leasing, and service/repair. We are seeking out a Service Department Technician in Indianapolis, IN to join our team!
We offer:
- Weekly pay
- Competitive compensation ($23.18 - $35.83.00/hr)
- Diagnose and Repair: Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers, including brakes, electrical systems, suspension, and structural components.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and servicing, ensuring trailers are compliant with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and repairs completed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and repair techniques.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive or diesel technology is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, OEM certifications) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs frequently.
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to lift/carry 100+ lbs infrequently.
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing.
