Position Summary

The Doctor Recruiter plays a vital role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top-tier dental providers, including but not limited to General Practice Dentists, Endodontists, Oral Surgeons, Orthodontists, and Pediatric Dentists, to support P1 Dental Partners’ continued growth across multiple states within the Midwest region.

This individual will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for doctor/specialty recruiting, combining strategic relationship-building with proactive sourcing and market intelligence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in recruiting dentists and dental specialists, along with proven success developing pipelines and hiring in high-growth or multi-location healthcare environments.

Preference for candidates based in Indianapolis or Chicago; may consider remote for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Strategy and Execution

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for dentists and dental specialists from sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding.
  • Partner with operations, clinical, and regional leadership to understand hiring needs and design recruiting strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and execute data-driven recruiting strategies that meet market-specific hiring goals.
  • Analyze regional labor markets and hiring trends to inform proactive talent planning.

Sourcing and Pipeline Development

  • Execute ongoing sourcing initiatives to proactively build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified dentists and dental specialists across multiple Midwest markets.
  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels, including social media, direct outreach, job boards, professional associations, and advertising, to attract both active and passive candidates.
  • Cultivate relationships with dental schools and residency programs through a robust residency outreach strategy to ensure a consistent flow of early-career talent.
  • Leverage dentist referrals, alumni networks, and strategic partnerships to strengthen the pipeline and reduce time-to-fill.
  • Represent P1 Dental Partners at professional events, conferences, and career fairs to increase brand visibility and candidate engagement.

Candidate Management and Selection

  • Provide an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Champion an exceptional candidate experience by ensuring timely communication, transparent feedback, and a personalized recruitment journey.
  • Screen and interview candidates to assess clinical expertise, cultural alignment, and long-term potential.
  • Coordinate interviews, feedback, and offer negotiations in collaboration with leadership.
  • Partner with HR to ensure seamless onboarding and transition to practice.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen the employer brand and execute targeted recruitment campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to position P1 Dental Partners as an employer of choice by showcasing our culture, values, and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs, report on key recruiting metrics, and provide market insights.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to operations and practice leaders, offering guidance on talent availability, compensation trends, and competitive positioning.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong background in recruiting GPs and dental specialists such as Endo, Ortho, Pedo, and Oral Surgeons.
  • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruiting for clinical roles across multiple markets.
  • Experience in private equity–backed healthcare, dental, or multi-site service organizations is strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in proactive sourcing, relationship management, and pipeline development.
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and candidate relationship management (CRM) tools, with strong data and reporting skills.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance across ATS and CRM systems, maintaining data integrity for reporting and analytics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of dental practice operations, provider credentials, and specialty training pathways.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
