JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing Intern is responsible for supporting the day-to-day marketing and public relations activities.
JOB DUTIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
- Create content for digital distribution on multiple platforms, potentially including website, email marketing, social media, etc. to drive brand awareness.
- Analyze competitor marketing assets and content.
- Assist with creation, review, planning, and evaluation of print and digital advertising efforts.
- Coordinate details for various marketing initiatives including photo shoots, sponsorships, community engagement, vendor relationships, etc.
- Liaison between departments within the organization to work on marketing and marketing-adjacent projects including internal communications, presentations, company culture initiatives.
- Assist with administrative tasks for the department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years related experience, or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of social media platforms including analytics.
- Comfort using all Microsoft products; knowledge of and comfort with Adobe Creative Cloud and Wordpress.
- Ability to take initiative and work without continual oversight.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; ability to correspond in a professional, businesslike manner.
- Strong organizational skills including logistical coordination. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an energetic and proactive personality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee is occasionally required to sit or stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal working office conditions. Noise level in this work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
