Description

  • High quality analog circuit design for image sensor, using Cadence Virtuoso;
  • Circuit simulation using Spectre, Smartspice, BDA AFS. Performance DC, AC, transient, transient noise, and Monte-Carlo simulations;
  • High quality sensor column readout layout design which is critical on image sensor performance;
  • Analog circuit layout and post layout extraction using Calibre, Assura; Analysis of sensor performance degradations due to layout parasitic couplings;
  • Image sensor array power distribution network design; Perform IR drop analysis and PSRR analysis;
  • Whole chip mixed signal simulation with nanosim, co-sim, BDA AMS, XA, Verilog-VCS, etc.;
  • Perform laboratory tests using equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, laser diodes, various light sources, etc.;
  • Perform image sensor debug with Omnivision’s sensor debug software IPT Tools;
  • Image analysis with image processing tools like Adobe Photoshop and Matlab;
  • Work with characterization engineers to fine tune products to improve sensor’s random noise, horizontal noise, fix pattern noise, image shading, horizontal banding, etc.;
  • Collaborate with process engineer to locate possible defect locations and deliver high yield products; New circuit R&D to be ahead of current technology;
  • Work with software and firmware team to develop applications for new image sensors.
  • Work with Pixel design engineer to make specification and target for system-optimized image sensor.

Require Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields and three (3) years of experience in image and pixel sensor development.

 

Required experience and skills shall include:

 

  • Analog CMOS circuit design using simulation tools, such as Spectre, HSPICE, finesim, AFS, nanospice, and ALPS.
  • Characterization using Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Power Supply, Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer.
  • Failure analysis with SEM and TEM.
  • Noise analysis and optimization.
  • Pixel architecture.
  • Pixel-timing based on pixel and circuit operation.

 

Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $153,504 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
