Summary

The Partnership and Business Development Manager - Medical will drive future growth for the medical segment. This will entail collaborating with medical/health partners and customers to identify emerging markets relevant to Omnivision image sensor, optics, cable and image signal processing (ISP) business within medical devices, dental instruments and health monitoring vertical segments. This will lead to corporate commitment to most promising markets, applications and customers with optimal imaging products.

Responsibilities
  • Scan medical, dental and healthcare device landscape and identify promising markets and applications worthy of further analysis. This activity is driven by market research, customer feedback and corporate initiatives
  • Execute strategic market analysis including trends, macro-economic factors, market size, growth rate, segmentation and positioning, SWOT, key players, business potential in terms of volume and value etc.
  • Formulate strategy, statement of work (SOW) and project plan
  • Present business case for new initiatives and get management buy in for financial investment and human resources
  • Act as a technical project manager to execute agreed plan with external partners and internal design, software, NPI, production, technical support and quality teams
  • Collect and feed relevant next generation product requirements back into the new product definition process.
  • GTM (go-to-market) plan: create and support promotion plan which includes collaterals, evaluation platforms, demo platforms, press release, white papers, webinars and participate in trade shows
  • Provide regular updates to management about status against plans, deviations and support needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor or above degree in systems / electronic / biomedical engineering. MBA would be preferable
  • Strong technical background in embedded systems, imaging, semi-conductors, medtech etc.
  • Proven track record in partnership, business development, sales (3~5 years+)
  • Commercially minded, strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of personal growth through initiative, drive, independent work and persistence
  • Strong personal organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder expectations, constraints and requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building skills

Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between  $130,000 - $170,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
