Analog CAD Engineer
Description
The Analog CAD Engineer will be joining our team to support and enhance a common analog design methodology in close cooperation with our global CAD team. You will be involved in the definition, the implementation and the follow-up of the analog design methodology. You will the first point of contact towards the local product R&D team and will be closely involved in discussing, resolving and escalating any issue raised related to the overall analog design methodology. You will be supported by local and global industry experts and will be able to grow your knowledge and experience within our R&D team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup and maintain PDKs in ADE from multiple foundries and be able to integrate different methodologies into a cohesive common format for product developers
- Support revision control methodologies (Cliosoft, SVN,…) and databases
- Support license management and monitoring
- Support combining schematic/netlist, VerilogAMS & parasitic extracted view of cells for chip level mixed-signal simulation
- Act as the interface between local product design teams and CAD vendors by organizing in-house or vendor led trainings and follow up on support requests to the vendors
- Collect user feedback about CAD flow from design teams
- Act as the interface between local product design teams and global CAD team to propose, implement and share in-house methods, tools, scripts.. to enhance design productivity in alignment with global CAD methodology.
- Evaluate latest CAD tools
Requirements:
- BSEE and 5+ years of relevant experience working on Cadence Virtuoso CAD development and working on all aspects of the product development flow
- Demonstrated experience in the use of SKILL code to enhance ADE environments
- Experience working with different PDKs form different foundries and understanding how to setup and enhance
- Experience in working with revision control systems, specific experience with Cliosoft is considered a strong plus
- Use of Python, Perl, and other scripting languages to enhance automation a strong plus
- Business level English communication skill
