Sensor Characterization Engineer
Description
- Perform bench test and analysis to ensure accurate and reproducible image sensor performance metrics;
- Conduct analytic studies of CMOS image sensor’s fundamental performance issues and provide technical suggestions of improvement;
- Work with analog/digital design team to troubleshoot chip/system level performance issues;
- Support R&D teams by providing detailed performance reports and actionable recommendations for future product development and process optimization;
- Develop scientific image quality measurement, calibration, evaluation, analysis and ISP verification tools;
- Conduct modeling and simulation of imaging systems, image sensor readout circuit and image sensor digital timing;
- Focus on mobile image sensor projects verification and optimization;
- Develop Python and MATLAB scripts to automate data acquisition, processing, and visualization of large characterization datasets.
Requirements:
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a closely related field with a focus on Electronic Circuits and Systems.
Must have the skills in:
- Integrated CMOS analog/digital systems, analog IC design, CMOS logic design, integrated circuit analysis, sensors.
- Digital circuit, ADC/DAC, Phase-locked loops(PLL), evaluation and feedback of noise performance, performance estimation, lab simulation, test of circuits, analysis of noise and distortion
- Circuit characterization, Cadence tools for transistor level simulation, layout, verification, VLSI implementation methodology, EDA tools.
- Python program.
- MATLAB software simulation.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $156,853 - $160,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
