(Sr.) Field Application Engineer

Description

We are looking for an experienced FAE or Senior FAE to join the team. This position will be responsible for the field application engineering of OVT's sensor products including ISP ASIC and its module building and field application issue support in system-viewpoint. Also, he(she) should support sales team to get design win and should co-work with QA team for the first-hand failure analysis. Especially, automotive application experience (specifically for HKMC) is a plus.

  • Automotive customer RFI/RFP/RFQ request support.
  • CMI Module building support with releasing Design package, ORS, Datasheet , OQC review and Physical RW spec understanding and publishing documents in time.
  • Module verification and optimization considering number of passive component and power line alignment.
  • Customer sensor module schematic review and confirmation.
  • Sensor CRA matching study and compensation w/ lens specialist.
  • Proper lens recommendation and reviewing with customer.
  • Supporting QA for first hand sensor module failure analysis.
  • Sensor setting initialization :: preview activation check with customer module.
  • Final register confirmation for each mode, resolution, framerate
  • PLL limitation check and table generation based on MCLK and MIPI lane bandwidth limitation.
  • Performing sensor evaluation based on Key customers’ testing criteria.
  • Customer-specific Image tuning support for SOC and CIS+ISP combination.
  • Development of proper pixel evaluation system for new-coming sensors.
  • Understanding of software programming(C, C++) and system architecture for platform driver porting support including code development with customer ISP/ASIC.
Requirements
  • BSEE or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years in image sensor (field) application engineering supporting experience.
  • Written/verbal English capabilities. Chinese is preferable.
  • Capability of understanding camera module building procedures and module fitting simulation for smartphone camera.
  • Capability of understanding Image sensor(CIS,SOC) including ISP ASIC architecture and generating allowable/constrained training materials for customer's implementation guide.
  • Understanding of image sensor pixel evaluation methodology in mobile phone application.
  • Supporting experience of automotive application is preferred (for Hyundai Mobis, Mando through McNEX and LGIT).
  • Understanding of image sensor module calibration for QCT/MTK platform.
  • Capability of analyzing field failure issue and capability of communicating with HQ for issue solving for QA support.
