Description

  • Responsible for the design, development and characterization of analog and mixed signal circuits in CMOS image sensors, define the block level design document such as interface, block diagram, pipeline, limitations, area and power report.
  • Conduct column-level analog-to-digital converter design in CMOS image sensors.
  • Conduct pre-layout and post-layout evaluations, including transient, AC, DC, stability, and noisesimulations using design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Analog FastSpice, and Nano Spice.
  • Process input/output simulation waveforms using software such as SimVision and Ezwave.
  • Conduct whole chip mixed signal simulation with nanosim, co-sim, BDA AMS, XA, Verilog-VCS, etc.
  • Perform RTL coding, function/performance simulation debug, Lint/CDC checks.
  • Perform block verification using Cadence SimVision.
  • Perform synthesis, timing/power closure and FPGA/silicon bring-up; Conduct synthesis design using Cadence RCC or Genus.
  • Conduct in test plan and coverage analysis of the block.
  • Perform chip bring-up, validation, and debugging using FPGA and Python.
  • Collaborate with verification, process, test, and application engineers to debug, characterize and optimize performance of fabricated image sensors and successfully bring new products from initial concept to release.
Requirements: 
 
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related fields with a focus on integrated circuit design.  
 
Must possess demonstrated knowledge and skills of: 
  • VLSI design;
  • Analog and Digital integration;
  • Analog-to-Digital interfaces;
  • Circuit design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, SPICE;
  • Circuit simulation, such as transient, AC, DC, stability, Monte Carlo;
  • Lab equipment, such as oscilloscope, function generator, and multimeter.
 
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $126,984 - $130,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
