OMNIVISION’s LCOS group is looking for LCOS Engineer to join the team in Louisville, CO. 
 
Responsibilities :
  • Support hands-on LCOS optical testing and metrology and data analysis
  • Develop test methods for Liquid Crystal and LCOS performance evaluation
  • Characterize all aspects of LCOS panel performance including, but not limited to optical characterization and electro-optical performance
  • Improve LCOS panel performance to meet customer requirements by selecting new materials, assisting to propose and develop new processes, and other methods
  • Develop LC technology to be used for projection applications (LCD, LCOS, and MEMS)
  • Characterize LCOS at low and high temperatures to fully understand performance for more demanding applications such as automotive
  • Submit Invention Disclosures to protect OmniVision technology and solidify LCOS IP position
  • Work closely with teams in China, Japan, TW, and US to improve current LCOS production line processes to support manufacturing team to improve LCOS performance and improve yield.
  • Find root cause and solutions to issues encountered on LCOS manufacturing process.
Requirements :
  • M.S. or B.S with 5+ years of industry or related experience
  • Ph.D. degree with related optics experience
  • Knowledge or experience in Optics and/or Liquid Crystal technologies (e.g. LCD, LCOS, etc.) including polarization optics
  • Willing to do hands-on measurements in the lab, and detail oriented to ensure high quality data. 
  • Experience with Software tools used to do data analysis (e.g. Matlab, Mathematica, Python, Julia, etc.).
  • Experience in applied R&D involving the LCOS or other liquid crystal fabrication, characterization, and integration of materials and devices for a broad spectrum of application.
Annual base salary for this role in Colorado, US is expected to be between $88,500 - $181,300. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills, education, experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
