OMNIVISION’s IT organization is looking for a Sr. IT Engineer. You will join an amazing global IT team as the Sr. IT Engineer responsible for OMNIVISION’s large scale virtual environment, Windows Operations and its infrastructure and other cutting edge technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, design and future proof OMNIVISION’s virtualization environment which includes technologies such as: Citrix ADC, XenDesktop/XenApp,NetScaler and VMWare virtualization software suite.
- Responsible for the daily management of Citrix VDI hosting windows desktop and Linux desktop VDI workloads (RHEL preferred)
- Manage, design and improve the Windows environment which includes Active Directory, Exchange (on premise), as well as O365 infrastructure.
- Responsible for ensuring optimal operation of the above environments, which includes regular patching, upgrades, and other maintenance in order to future proof OMNIVISION’s computing environment.
- Stay apprised of technologies related to areas of responsibility. Mentor and train other team members.
- Other areas of technologies and responsibilities as OMNIVISION’s IT team grows and scales.
Requirements:
- Experience with Infrastructure – virtual environment, VDI, Citrix ADC Load balancer, VMware Virtualization technology (vCenter, hyperV…etc)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft related technology, Windows Infrastructure, Active Directory (AD), GPO, Azure AD, and O365
- Strong knowledge of other Microsoft products preferred: SharePoint, Project, SQL etc, on both on premise and Microsoft O365
- Automation and scripting highly desired, such as: Powershell, MS Exchange Cmdlets
- Understanding of NAS\SAN Storage, Replication, load balancing, and LAN\WAN Technologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced IT environment with fluctuating priorities and timelines
- 5 to 10 years of Sr. IT Engineer or Sr. IT System Engineer experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Must have strong written and verbal communication, organizational, detail-oriented, interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to multitask, work independently and as a member of a team, interface with other branches of the organization, work effectively with diverse constituencies, and solve problems and make decisions while under pressure and time constraints.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $130,000 - $165,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
