Description

Job Duties:
 
  • Invent, implement, develop and verify cutting-edge image processing algorithms for company’s core technology CMOS sensors in a competitive and time-sensitive environment.
  • Develop ISP algorithms including 3A control, demosaicking, 2D/3D denoise, local tone mapping, dynamic color shading correction, defect pixel correction etc.
  • Develop processing algorithms to improve image/ video quality/color processing.
  • Create roadmap, define, and execute product definition and development from concept to production.
  • Research new image and color processing or computer vision techniques and technologies for digital camera systems.
  • Monitor state of the art technologies from both academic research and industry.
  • Exercise creative thinking and idealization to advance performance.
  • Image quality tuning and measure.
  • Expand company’s ISP or CV solution to new levels of functionality, quality, and performance.
  • Assist the hardware design team with algorithm implementation and validation.
  • Evaluate final results of algorithm design assuring accomplishment of technical objectives.
  • Document the design and development and assist company to file patent applications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to top-level application developers and hardware design team with algorithm implementation and validation.
 
Requirements:
 
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Image Science & Engineering, or related fields. Will accept foreign equivalent Ph.D. degree.
 
Require one year experience working in Image Processing field.
 
The experience shall include:
  • ISP algorithm development including 3A control, demosaicking, 2D/3D denoise, local tone mapping, dynamic color shading correction, defect pixel correction;
  • Algorithm development to improve image/ video quality/color processing;
  • Researching new image and color processing or computer vision techniques and technologies for digital camera systems;
  • Embedded system and software applications;
  • Algorithm implementation and validation;
  • Tuning and measuring image quality;
  • Programming using in C, C++, Python and Matlab;
  • Code management tools such as svn, git, repo;
  • Software debugger;
  • Assist to file patent applications.
Annual base salary for this role in California, US is expected to be between $153,504 - $180,000. Actual pay will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant skills and experience, and the pay of employees in the similar role.
