What we do at OMNIVISION, Norway, Characterization group
Analysis, testing, and optimization of CMOS Image Sensors throughout the chip development cycle. The characterization group works closely with analog and digital design teams to evaluate sensor performance through systematic testing, data analysis, and debugging. Activities include pre-silicon verification support, post-silicon bring-up, test system development, sensor evaluation under various operating conditions, and contributing to continuous improvements of sensor performance. The team plays a key role in validating product specifications and ensuring robust, high-quality sensor solutions for automotive applications.
About this position
As a Characterization Intern, you will work with the characterization team on testing, analysis, and debugging of CMOS image sensors for on-going projects. You will gain hands-on experience with sensor evaluation, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a real-world product development environment.

- Best practices for documenting test results, analysis methods, and technical findings in an international company
- Experience working in an international, collaborative and multicultural work environment
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably having completed the 4th year of study
- Some background or coursework in CMOS image sensor, analog circuits, and semiconductor devices is beneficial
- Interest in testing, debugging, and data-driven analysis
- Experience with scripting (e.g., Python or similar) is an advantage
- Excellent command of English as a working language
