Cardiology Device Nurse (Bellevue), Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

Overlake Medical Clinics, LLC (OMC) is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Cardiology Device Clinic located on campus in Bellevue. The Cardiology Device Clinic Registered Nurse (CDC RN) assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents professional nursing care of patients focused on the testing, retrieval and analysis of information stored in implantable cardiac devices (e.g. loop recorders, pacemakers, defibrillators, etc.) in an ambulatory care setting in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under his/her direction. The CDC RN provides a single standard of care to patients using evidence based disease state management clinical pathways. This encompasses providing pre- and post-procedure counseling and education to patients/families with respect to arrhythmia interpretation and management of implanted cardiac devices. The CDC RN works in the following areas: 1) providing perioperative recommendations regarding programming of patient’s implanted device relative to scheduled procedures; 2) performing in-clinic interrogation and reprogramming of implantable loop recorders, pacemakers and automatic implantable cardiac defibrillators (AICD); 3) performing routine remote interrogation and monitoring for daily device alerts; 4) developing initial device analyses and generating preliminary reports; 5) triaging and conducting visits to patients post-device insertion; and 6) alerting practitioners to urgent issues requiring further action. The CDC RN assists with chronic disease management including self-management support and coordination of care. The CDC RN is responsible for providing daily direction to non-provider clinical staff and to work with the healthcare team to identify appropriate utilization of resources. 

The Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients. They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with standards of care and practice, collaborating with the Clinic Manager and Medical Director in developing and maintaining clinic protocols, policies and procedures. Additionally, the Clinic Nurse will provide direction to the non-physician clinical team and educate patients and families on health education, disease prevention and chronic disease management.

Responsible for providing professional nurse care to patients in the ambulatory setting for the testing, retrieval and analysis of information stored in implantable cardiac devices (e.g. loop recorders, pacemakers, defibrillators, etc.)


  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license required.
  • Current CPR/BLS required.
  • Current ACLS preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent clinical experience in a Cardiac Device Clinic setting highly preferred. 
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced patient focused environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal/people skills.
  • Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills.
