Position Summary:
Jewish Union Foundation MD seeks dedicated staff member to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professional (DSP) will provide direct care and vocational training to individuals with developmental disabilities in a day program setting. Staff will provide guidance and support to individuals related to their individual goals.
Full-time positions are available in Baltimore.
Responsibilities Include:
- Working one-on-one with individuals as well as leading group sessions
- Job Coaching at training and various work sites
- Monitoring individuals’ goals and progress
- Providing social skills training in individual and group settings
- Ensuring paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Creating and implementing group activities.
- Supporting individuals in different community settings
- Supporting individuals with varying capabilities
Qualification Requirements:
- A desire to work with adults with disabilities
- Ability to provide positive motivation to others and act as a role model
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to be flexible and work in different settings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with ID/DD population
- Driver’s License
Salary:
The salary range for this position is between $38,000 and $42,000, commensurate with experience.
