POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst – Financial Planning & Reporting is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and delivering financial forecasts, as well as reporting accurate financial reports to internal and external stakeholders. This role supports financial planning, reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and internal policies, while providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, MSA, or MBA preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting or related finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Strong proficiency/Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Private Equity experience is desired.
• Healthcare experience highly desirable, specifically in specialty pharmacies, provider and/or payors.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
- Maintain documentation for financial reporting processes and controls.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve data accuracy.
- Support implementation of financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Sage Intacct, subsidiary billing & A/R reporting modules).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, private equity sponsors, and other departments to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Forecasting & Budgeting Support
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Assists with the monthly operational product sales goal process.
- Assists with the development of Company’s annual financial plan/budget, as well as periodic updates, to inform key stakeholders of both current and planned performance.
- New drug launch planning, modeling, & reporting.
- Preparation of all other key plan/budget financial data.
Financial Reporting
- Assist with the preparation of monthly results presentation deck and supporting financial statement documents in accordance with GAAP/IFRS, established processes and procedures.
- Coordination and preparation of quarterly lender reporting.
- Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets; provide commentary and recommendations to management.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
