Position Summary
 
Salary Range: $58,000 - $65,000
 
The Operations Trainer plays an essential role in fostering the growth and efficiency of our organization’s workforce. Responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive training plans, this position ensures that employees are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties. The focus is on enhancing productivity, delivery of outstanding customer service, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application, the Operations Trainer assesses training needs, develops customized training materials, and facilitates remote and in person training sessions. This role supports new employee onboarding, ongoing development of existing staff, and training of new product launches thereby contributing to the overall success and adaptability of the organization.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Training
  • 4-5 years of related experience preferred
  • Positive interpersonal communication skills – able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels (verbal/written)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills:  ability to multi-task and change priorities quickly: detail oriented. 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Aptitude for effective and creative problem-solving. 
  • Proven leadership skills: able to successfully manage learning groups and collaborate with their receiving leaders. 
  • Able to effectively analyze, interpret, and resolve issues with trainee progress along the learning curve. 
  • Knows and has used adult learning principles and can adapt in a resilient manner to the need of the participants and the business. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc) 
  • Illinois Pharmacy Technician License Required, National Technician Certification - preferred  
Essential Job Duties
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the operational needs of the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives. Create and maintain training content with accuracy and relevance, including manuals, instructional videos, and online learning modules. 
  • With the support of the training leader, evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions and programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to continuously improve training quality and impact. 
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions for employees at all levels, utilizing a variety of training methodologies to accommodate different learning styles. 
  • Coordinate with department heads and managers to identify training needs and gaps within the organization, developing targeted programs to address these areas. 
  • Provide remediation training as needed to employees post-training, providing support and guidance to ensure the successful application of learned skills and knowledge in their daily operations. 
  • Manage the logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, room setup, technology requirements, and participant communication, to ensure smooth execution.
