The targeted salary range is supplemented by a competitive total rewards package. The salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors such as the individual’s skillset, level of experience applicable to the role and internal equity considerations.

Within this context, the Base Coordinator will help manage, coordinate, and monitor the overall operations at base level. Reporting to the Base Manager, the primary focus of this role will be providing support to staff consisting of paramedics, pilots, and engineers, on a day-to-day basis by ensuring effective utilization of resources.
Responsibilities:
- Providing day-to-day support to staff at the base level; oversight of attendance and time keeping, coordinates payroll activities, scheduling, approving business expenses, manages the inventory of medications, consumables, and equipment.
- Supports in the investigations process, presents recommendations to resolve incidents and complaints in an expedited manner.
- Initiates opportunities to develop and sustain partnerships between key internal and external partners. This may include participating in career/promotional related events to community groups, educational institutions, to advance Ornge’s operational and strategic goals.
- Engages in ongoing communications with staff including leading daily briefings with pilots, paramedics, maintenance, and support staff.
- Supports project work and new initiatives.
- Applies Collective Bargaining Agreements accurately to payroll related matters and to answer operational inquiries.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in healthcare, aviation, business administration, logistics or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in office or operations management.
- Excellent mediation and facilitation skills.
- Experience with payroll, inventory, and invoicing software programs.
- Ability to prepare correspondence, write reports, and prepare meeting minutes.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and is commitment to professional development.
- Excellent organizational skills, experienced in handling multiple projects and meeting urgent deadlines while using good judgement in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong conflict resolution and change management skills.
- Must exhibit a high level of initiative, self-direction and an innovative approach to problem solving; an ability to analyze problems systematically, synthesize information, identify key details, and causes and offer opinions.
