Ornge is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly organized Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the planning, performance monitoring and delivery of key projects that enhance the operational capabilities of our critical care air ambulance services. As a Project Manager at Ornge, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at all levels, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget to align with organizational goals. You will possess strong leadership, interpersonal and excellent communication skills with the technical knowledge required to lead a diverse range of strategic projects that include changes to Ornge’s service offerings and healthcare partnerships, technology driven initiatives, and physical structures while maintaining a high standard of quality in a fast-paced environment. Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of projects aligned with organizational strategy, priorities, and governance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish governance clarity, including defined roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder communication, expectation management, and issue resolution.
  • Deliver projects within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, proactively managing risks and variances.
  • Ensure vendor performance meets contractual obligations and deliverables.
  • Apply appropriate project delivery methodologies to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to advancement of PMO governance through reporting, metrics, and dashboards.
  • Champion an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative project environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and support to project teams.
  • Review and assist business stakeholders to develop and maintain project charters, plans and requirements.
  • Plan and manage scope, schedule, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Track and report on project progress, deliverables, and performance.
  • Manage project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve project issues, including root cause and mitigation actions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, alignment, and decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including status reports and audit records.
  • Support continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates, and practices.
  • Maintain a collaborative and respectful team environment through daily interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to support diversity of projects e.g. business and technology.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading, managing and coordinating projects.
  • Experience delivering a diverse range of strategic projects including operational changes, business process, and technology projects.
  • Experience in Healthcare, with Aviation and Emergency Medical Services an asset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products e.g. Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project.
