The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for recording expenditures, reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, and backup for purchasing team. 
Responsibilities:
  • Record cash activities other than A/P like cash transfers, FSA, interest, etc.
  • Prepare monthly bank and investment account reconciliations.
  • Record monthly prepaid amortization and ASC842 lease entries.
  • Responsible for fixed assets including but not limited to recording monthly depreciation, additions & disposals as needed. 
  • Prepare & post G&A recurring & reversing journal entries.
  • Execute allocation entries.
  • Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations like prepaid accounts, fixed assets, accrued expenses, etc.    
  • Serve as backup for the Accounting Manager recording & reconciling clinical expenses.
  • Assist during quarterly/annual audits preparing schedules per PBC list.
  • Accumulation of control evidence (SOX control).
  • Assists in preparing schedules for tax provisions. 
  • Serve as backup for purchasing.
  • Other general accounting duties and special projects as assigned like Census Survey.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience, preferably in the biotechnology industry and/or publicly traded company.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite or any ERP a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The anticipated salary range for candidates is between $90,000-$135,000.  The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc.  ORIC is a multi-state employee, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
