About the Team

 

The O’Reilly Media Sales Operations team is focused on ensuring the continued success and growth of the company by enabling our internal business teams with the tools, data and services they need to succeed. We are a cross functional team working side by side with almost all areas of the business including Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service. Our goal is to do everything we can to ensure our users are set up for success. 



About the Job

 

We are looking for a motivated individual with experience supporting Salesforce and related tools with both Admin and Developer experience. There will be a mix of work ranging from daily end user support; standard maintenance such as monitoring system health and reviewing and testing system updates; all the way to project based work being involved with all aspects of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, to development to user testing and deployment.  

 

We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator / Developer who is not only able to provide the technical expertise needed to support and improve our systems but someone who is willing to bring their ideas, recommendations and expertise to collaborate and help us improve. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

As Salesforce Administrator / Developer, you will: 

 

  • Support and maintain the current SFDC production environment via ticket requests and defined projects;
  • Attend meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements;
  • Analyze requirements to propose, design, implement, document and support solutions within Salesforce and Salesforce related tools;
  • Support administration functions such as the maintenance of custom objects, page layouts, record types, fields, triggers, validation rules and formulas;
  • Develop and maintain validation rules, apex code, process builder and flow;
  • Participate in QA;
  • Provide day-to-day end user support;
  • Deploy, manage and support Salesforce related tools and integrations;
  • Conduct research on the best practices and industry/functional trends. Stay abreast of SFDC release changes, advise the Salesforce support team and business SuperUsers on impact to production, potential updates that might benefit business instances.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • 2+ years as a Salesforce System administrator 
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer
  • Salesforce.com System Administrator certified
  • Salesforce.com Platform Developer I certified
  • Experience working with Apex 
  • Experience with enterprise end user support 
  • Salesforce CPQ Experience highly desirable
  • Experience working in Jira or a similar system
  • Experience supporting and managing salesforce related tools
  • Experience with any of the following specific tools a plus: ZoomInfo, Salesloft, Xactly Incent, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zuora, Marketo and Gainsight. 
  • Experience supporting Zuora using either Workflow or Developer tools highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills
  • Experience wearing multiple hats and working in an agile environment 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders
