What you’ll be working on

You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing the electronic components and systems that power our cutting-edge wearable technology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of sports technology and make a significant impact on athletes worldwide.

Your day-to-day

  • Design and develops electronic circuits and systems for our product line, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, firmware developers, and data scientists, to integrate electronic components seamlessly into the overall product design.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical expertise in evaluating new technologies and components for integration into future iterations of our products.
  • Lead the prototyping, testing, and validation of electronic hardware, including component selection, schematic design, and PCB layout.
  • Collaborate with external manufacturing partners to ensure successful production and assembly of electronic components.
  • Troubleshoot and debug electronic systems, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Conduct thorough documentation of electronic designs, including specifications, test plans, and reports.
  • Write test drivers and develop software in C for sensors and components, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electronic engineering and sports technology, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

You should apply if

  • 2 to 5 years of professional experience in electronic engineering, with a focus on hardware design and development.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • A strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, sensors, wireless communication modules.
  • Experience and knowledge of Bluetooth technology, including BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), and familiarity with implementing Bluetooth protocols in electronic systems.
  • Experience with C firmware development and programming language.
  • You’re proficient in Altium PCB design and layout software.
  • A proven track record of successfully bringing electronic products from concept to market, preferably in wearable technology or related fields.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex electronic systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Even better if you have

  • Familiarity with Nordic SDK and Zephyr RTOS.
  • Familiarity with C++ and Python.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards and certification processes for electronic devices (e.g., FCC, CE).
  • Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE).

Pay Range: £48,000 to £72,000 annually

  1. Resume Review & Short List.
  2. Initial Call (Depending on the role, a take home task may also be requested).
  3. Final Interview.
