WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
 
At Opus, we collaborate with some of the world’s most influential brands to design, create, and manage their most significant events and experiential campaigns. The Solutions Architect is responsible for advising clients, designing and integrating event technology and experiential solutions, implementing those solutions, and overseeing their execution, whilst managing relationships and contracts with third-party technology providers.
 
The Solutions Architect will work in concert with event teams to ensure that multiple external technologies are seamlessly integrated, delivering innovative and successful events both online and in person.
 
YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • A minimum of three years’ practical experience with event technology platforms (such as Rainfocus, Swoogo, Cvent, Stova, or comparable systems).
  • Demonstrable expertise across a wide range of technology disciplines, including architecture, application development, technology delivery and services, quality assurance, and data management.
  • A strong background in the configuration, troubleshooting, deployment, and presentation of technology solutions within live event environments.
  • Foundational knowledge of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) together with an understanding of UI/UX customisation principles.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year institution, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and clients to translate requirements into functional event technology solutions, preparing documentation of workflows, configurations, and technical setups for reuse and knowledge sharing.
  • Configure and deploy web components through event technology platforms.
  • Provide technical support for event technology implementation across multiple workstreams, including registration, session scheduling and management, sponsorships, communications, and integrations, in a variety of event formats (digital, hybrid, and in-person).
  • Support and resolve issues during platform setup, testing, and live events; conduct Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Manage relationships effectively with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Utilise multiple external registration tools whilst remaining informed on feature enhancements and product releases.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in event technology, maintaining currency on platform developments and industry best practice.

TRAVEL AND FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE REQUIRED
 
This position is required to travel to attend events. Air travel and overnight stays are required. There will occasionally be the need to work outside standard business hours.
