Position overview: 
This role will be providing strategic support to the entire organization. The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for implementing strategies and workflows surrounding successful execution of freight, including expedited orders while providing world-class customer service. Requests could come from internal or external customers and will require a process of accurate, quick and clear communication. 
Responsibilities: 
As a Transportation Analyst, you may be responsible for the following activities in accordance with your role: 
  • Execute expedited freight processes, quoting urgent shipments 
  • Execute cross-border shipments from US to Mexico, international freight to the Americas 
  • Utilize and maintain TMS (Transportation Management Software) 
  • Measure and evaluate carrier effectiveness 
  • Ensure efficient and on time movements throughout the transportation network 
  • Prepare reports on routing and financial metrics 
  • Update and maintain KPI’s 
  • Improve freight cost recovery of expedited freight 
  • Support global and local transportation initiatives 
  • Provide day-to-day support of internal and external customers regarding transportation 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient at analyzing data and making decisions. 
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills: demonstrate good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Stakeholder Management: establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization. 
  • Independent and organized work style:  effectively manage time and prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks without close supervision, and consistently meet deadlines. 
Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 3 years Logistics/Supply Chain/Transportation or similar role experience. 
  • Competency with Excel and other Office applications 
  • Detailed and Process oriented 
  • May require occasional after hours and weekend work.
