Main responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mission critical supply chain and operations systems.
- Write clean, scalable code using Java and J2EE.
- Write and tune SQL calls, as part of business logic development.
- Participate in requirements analysis.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture.
- Test and deploy applications and systems.
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Improve existing software.
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support.
- Support code reviews and system testing of application changes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS degree. Information Systems/Technology is a plus.
- 5+ years’ experience with front-end and back-end Java development.
- Significant experience with MS SQL database development.
- Significant experience deploying and supporting applications in a Docker environment.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP development and integration is a plus.
- Some exposure to .NET programming language is a plus.
- Project management, system implementation and system integration experience.
- Exposure to supporting high-volume transactions, designed & built in Java, JavaScript, Groovy, C or similar programming languages.
- Exposure to designing, building and utilising web services with REST, SOAP, XML over HTTP APIs
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance in addition to working collaboratively with cross-functional teams that work virtually or from remote offices.
- Knowledges of GitLab repository administration and CI/CD configuration is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Attitude & work ethic adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment.
