Position overview:
We are looking for an accomplished, self-starter, dynamic Supply Chain Manager to provide the leadership and vision to deliver on our Customer Fulfillment Promise by ensuring 100% product availability for our customer manufacturing processes. 
The Supply Chain Manager will lead business processes which include Demand Planning and Forecasting, Buying and Expediting.  This individual will also plan and manage supply chain budget delivering YoY productivity through simplification, automation and process improvement.  
The Supply Chain Manager should have considerable experience in demand planning, will have come from a heavy-industry environment and will need to be recognized for his/her creativity, dynamism and strong drive.

Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager will:
  • Responsible for managing a Supply Chain team, including hiring, termination, disciplinary actions, performance management, achieving business objectives and training.
  • Managing all Supply Chain related Supplier/Customer interaction, ensuring clear communication internally/externally and to build/maintain a strong relationship to aid in resolving service, delivery, and other issues.
  • Ensuring day-to-day Supply Chain team activities are completed on time in full and in line with the team processes, including buy/expedite reports, order acknowledgment, order book management and delivery tracking.
  • Driving demand management to improve forecast accuracy %’s
  • Resolution of challenges, following the escalation process where relevant and making critical decisions with the ability to develop root cause analysis.
  • Responsible for stock categorization, MRP settings and system updates, including lead-time, default vendor, EOQ/MBQ, safety stock levels, min/max values, Box qty and freight term/%’s.
  • Lead the planning, material requirements and inventory management processes, including inventory estimating, deep dive analysis of the inventory profile, inventory investment and E&O prevention.
  • Support the development of Supply Chain new initiatives and cross-functional teams in continuous improvement programs.
  • Identify/develop team objectives and tactics and drive execution of the plans.
  • Support the NPI/Change Management process within the Supply Chain function and work with the cross functional departments to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
  • Ensure full compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Initiate Induction training for new job holders within your team.
  • Carryout employee performance reviews with staff
  • Staff Training and coaching
  • Ensure work is distributed evenly and any overtime is monitored, managed and recorded in accordance with the Time and Attendance system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
You will thrive working here if you have the following:
  • Mechanical Engineer/ MBA Marketing Degree of any relevant degree.
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain Management, with strong experience with strategic sourcing, operations and demand management (MUST).
  • Used to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience working within a high-volume industry environment.
  • Experience in the fasteners business viewed very favorably.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Being fluent in other languages is viewed very favorably.
  • Experience developing and implementing policies, programs and practices in manufacturing setting.
  • Should be someone dynamic, prone to multitask and who works efficiently across functions.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, distribution of goods and manufacturing processes.
  • An understanding of business and management principles, leadership strategies and strategic planning.
  • Familiarity with the principles of transportation.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset.
  • Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, along with forecasting and analyzing data and financial information.
  • Able to work frequently to visit different sites, both from Optimas and with the Customer.
  • The ability to manage people, build teams and communicate effectively.
  • Analyzing and researching operational and strategic information and determining appropriate actions;
  • Collaborating with co-workers to provide and receive directions.
  • Developing and monitoring expenditures and budget;
  • PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); and others as needed.
