Second shift roller operator
Description
Essential Responsibilities/Duties
- Use of basic measuring instruments, micrometer and Clipers
- Reading of Production prints
- Use of machine control units SPC & process monitoring systems
- Use of hand tools
- Good housekeeping of equipment, work area, and other assigned areas
- Ability to change thread roller tooling
- Follow instructions and directions from supervisor
- Assist operators with production duties
- Check dimensional characteristics of thread rolled parts and maintain quality records
- Change tools and make set-ups for standard and semi-special products, as required
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Must be able to read and interpret prints
- 1 year of practical experience
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Frequency to apply appropriate problem-solving skills
Skills/Qualifications:
- May also require material handling equipment certification
- Accurately performs multiple operational tasks assigned to the individual
- Good work attendance records
- Good health records
- Mechanical ability
- Use of basic measuring instruments
- Knowledge of thread rolling machine set-up for standard and special products
- Demonstrates effective oral communication skills
