Overview of role: As an inside sales representative, you will play a crucial role in establishing relationships and marketing our company’s brand in a way that is positive, honest, and professional.  You will be responsible for driving inside sales performance by increasing revenue from our existing client base and create new opportunities

In this highly visible role as an Inside Sales Representative at Optimas, you are in it to win. Responsible to: VAS Sales Director, VAS, UK

Principle Activities:

  • Handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Work with your team members to facilitate calls, manage work flow, and minimise hold times throughout the sales process.
  • Providing the highest achievable service levels to all VAS customers
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales
  • Overcome objections of prospective customers
  • Listen attentively to consumer questions and provide answers that are knowledgeable and insightful to encourage product sale.
  • Showcase the company’s strengths and highlight our brand by talking exclusively about the characteristics that make our organisation unique.
  • Understand and communicate our company's full suite of products and our strong value proposition
  • Identifying and developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations
  • Increase sales by retaining, developing and growing sales a portfolio of VAS customers
  • Meets and exceeds sales goals as agreed upon with sales management
  • Maintain communication by troubleshooting, reporting, and tracking problems
  • Appropriately communicate brand identity and corporate position

Experience and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of relevant selling experience
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other relevant topics

      Prior sales experience in industrial products, including Fasteners or MRO, is strongly preferred

      Professional sales training or certifications, including in customer service desirable

          Strong organisational skills will allow you to stay on top of your leads, never missing an opportunity for a sale

          Superior communication skills are a must, as is a strict adherence to delivering the best in customer service
