Position Summary

Optimas is seeking an experienced Senior ETL Developer with 8+ years of hands-on experience in Data Warehousing, ERP integrations, and enterprise data management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise ETL/ELT solutions that integrate data from ERP, CRM, supply chain, finance, and distribution applications into centralized reporting and analytics platforms.

This role will be instrumental in driving the evolution of Optimas' enterprise data ecosystem, supporting both on-prem and cloud-based data warehouse initiatives while ensuring data quality, scalability, performance, and business alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Warehouse & Data Integration Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Data Warehouse solutions supporting Sales, Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Supply Chain, and Operations reporting.
  • Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to consolidate data from multiple enterprise systems into centralized analytical platforms.
  • Develop and maintain dimensional data models including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema architecture.
  • Design and implement Fact and Dimension tables, including Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD Type 1 & Type 2).
  • Create reusable ETL frameworks, data quality checks, validation processes, and reconciliation mechanisms.
  • Develop robust SQL-based data transformation logic ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

ERP & Enterprise Application Integration

  • Integrate data from ERP platforms, CRM systems, warehouse management systems, procurement applications, and other distribution-related business applications.
  • Support integrations involving NetSuite ERP and other enterprise applications.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces using Boomi integration solutions.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data flows across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, Finance, and Supply Chain processes.

ETL Operations & Support

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL processes to meet business SLAs.
  • Resolve data quality issues and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.
  • Support(24x7) ETL deployments, code promotions, and production releases.
  • Ensure ETL solutions are scalable and capable of handling increasing data volumes.
  • Perform impact assessments for source system changes and implement required enhancements.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partners with Business Intelligence, ERP, Infrastructure, and Application teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Participate in solution design, estimation, planning, and technical reviews.
  • Mentor junior ETL developers and promote development best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation throughout the SDLC lifecycle.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years in ETL, data warehousing, and enterprise data integration.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL development, SSIS, and SQL Server Replication.
  • Hands-on experience with High End/Advance SQL queries and ETL solutions across enterprise platforms.
  • Proven experience supporting ERP (including NetSuite), supply chain, distribution, and financial systems.
  • Expertise in building dimensional data models and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and support scalable ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • Experience integrating data across on-prem and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Fabric, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, and modern cloud integration technologies.
  • Familiarity with Tableau or other enterprise reporting and visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration concepts and performance optimization.
  • Experience using GitLab, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies in enterprise delivery environments.
