About the Role
Opentrons Robotics is seeking a Marketing Events Coordinator to lead the planning, execution, and promotion of our trade shows and industry events while also supporting broader marketing initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing event logistics, creating engaging event-related content, and contributing to various marketing efforts, including content creation, social media, and campaign support.
This is a hybrid role requiring at least 1 day per week on-site at our Long Island City, NY headquarters, working remotely the other days. There could also be travel to event locations. The Marketing Events Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Manager, Content & Events.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for events, marketing, and brand storytelling. Bonus points for graphic design experience!

What You Will Do
Event Coordination & Logistics (Primary Focus):
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of Opentrons’ trade shows, conferences, and industry events
- Research and evaluate industry events to determine participation and sponsorship opportunities that align with brand and sales goals
- Manage event contracts, vendor relationships, budgets, timelines, and logistics, ensuring a seamless execution
- Organize and track event materials, ensuring all equipment, booths, and marketing collateral are show-ready
- Handle event registrations, booth setup, shipping logistics, and on-site execution.
- Conduct post-event analysis, tracking ROI and effectiveness to refine future strategies.
Marketing & Content Creation:
- Support the marketing team in executing campaigns, including content creation, email marketing, and website updates
- Develop and execute social media strategies to promote Opentrons’ presence at trade shows and events
- Create engaging pre-event, live, and post-event content, including social media posts, photos, and videos
- Assist in the development of marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and sales materials
- Manage and update event-related content on the company website and marketing automation platforms
- Track and analyze marketing and event performance metrics to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Who We Are Looking For
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, trade show coordination, or other related event marketing
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Experience managing social media campaigns for live events
- Experience using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, or other design platforms preferred
- Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM platforms to track event leads and campaign performance preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite or related software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to travel for trade shows and events as needed
- Basic graphic design skills to create event signage, promotional materials, and social media graphics preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Work is performed in a typical interior/office work environment with occasional presence at conventions and trade shows
- Ability to travel for industry events and tradeshows as well as help set up booths
- Ability to safely lift up to 20 lbs. of inventory and/or trade show materials required
Compensation Range: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000 and $85,000 per year; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and years of experience. We typically target mid-range for well-qualified candidates. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including equity and full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
