Software Engineer II

Ontario Systems is seeking an experienced, motivated Full Stack .NET Core Software Engineer for our growing engineer team.  Candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone are preferred.

Location This position is available for both remote work and for work in our Vancouver, Washington location.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will work in a collaborative, fast-paced agile development environment, which will be used by application teams to build high quality, performant, highly available, and operable solutions. You will leverage the latest cloud development and deployment technologies while building and maintaining this solution.

Additionally, you will get opportunities to work with project teams to create new features or completely new products on our SaaS platform.

What You’ll Need
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science or certification in Computer Science
  • 4 to 6 year’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Object Oriented Design/Object Oriented Programmingin .NET Core environment 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and experience writing complex queries, functions, and stored procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EF Core / .NET Core environment
  • Experience converting Winforms to Vue.js, React, or Angular
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and AWS technologies, including Kubernetes, EC2 instances, load balancers, and deployment automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and a working fundamental knowledge of how to execute them in your preferred language.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience writing complex queries, functions, and store procedures
  • Knowledge of EF Core / .NET Core environment
  • Excellent verbal, listening, phone and interpersonal skills 
  • Advanced problem solving skills  
  • A positive, drama free attitude and a willingness to dig into unknowns and find creative solutions.
  • A self-starting, highly engaged work ethic directed and focused on delivering value for the customer by wearing many hats on the team.
  • Excellent development expertise. We are looking for passionate, aggressive engineers hungry for new technology development and able to jump into any aspect of the development process.
