UX Design Manager

Ontario Systems has a new and exciting position as UX Design Manager in our Product Department who loves to create compelling digital experiences for a variety of users and is looking to grow into a managerial role. This person will be hands on in developing software design solutions and will ultimately build out and lead a high-performing UX/UI team to bring our next-generation products and platforms to market.

Location This position will work from our Burlington, MA office. We will also consider remote candidates who are located in the Eastern or Central time zone.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirement discovery
  • Produce wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, and design prototypes
  • Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
  • Be an integral part of a team that is involved in strategic and innovative projects that will lead the company's vision
  • Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Customer, and Product teams to capture insights from the field to enable UX design to conceive, model, and deliver designs to engineering teams to make them a reality
  • Lead brainstorming sessions as needed within the team
  • Establish UX processes that support product excellence
  • Be able to communicate the business value of UX to stakeholders
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design-related field (UI/UX Design, Services Design, Design Communication, Visual Communication, User Experience, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in a UX strategy, product design or related role
  • Proficiency in documentation and prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, Sketch, Axure RP, iRise, Adobe Creative Suite, Proto.io, Webflow, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in driving UX projects across cross-functional teams to completion on time and on budget
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, customers, and personality types
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to travel occasionally
