Ontario Systems has a new and exciting position as a Senior Software Engineer dedicated to our Healthcare Revenue Cycle Products.

Location This position will be remote. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States.

Visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa is not available for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work directly for any employer in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.


What You’ll Do

In this role, you will work as part of an Agile engineering team that embraces collaborative working.  You also will work with product owners who talk to our customers to find out what is important to their business. The product owner then collaborates with Engineering to help identify development projects and their priority. You have a voice in how you are going to do your work: discuss the projects with the SCRUM Master, collaborate with other software engineers and key leaders in the company.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science or certification in Computer Science
  • 4 years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A self-starting, highly engaged work ethic directed and focused on delivering value for the customer by wearing many hats on the team.
  • Excellent development expertise. We are looking for passionate, aggressive engineers hungry for new technology development and able to jump into any aspect of the development process.
  • Proven work experience leading technical teams.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and a working fundamental knowledge of how to execute them in your preferred language.
  • Advanced understanding of several of these languages: PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, ZEN, CSP, Ajax, CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery, Angular, C#, Java, JSON, jQWidgets, SQL, Ruby, or another strongly object-oriented language.
  • Experience with at least one of these databases: InterSystems Cache/Ensemble, any form of SQL, any form of NoSQL.
