Payment Operations Analyst

Ontario Systems has a new and exciting position as Payment Operations Analyst in our Payment Operations team.

Location This position will be remote. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Actively participates in Operational Incident calls to understand the problem, resolution actions to be taken, and enact the incident notification process.
  • Uncovers the root cause for digital and processing system functionality issues affecting the team or the membership.
  • Completes high-quality analysis and process-flow mapping to build awareness of current workflows and facilitate effective decision-making.
  • Ability to have difficult conversations with our vendors and hold them accountable to resolve vendor related issues in a timely fashion.
  • Assists with the creation of monthly Operational Incident reports and departmental Dashboards.
  • Manages the Operational Incidents space in company systems/databases, ensuring all internal/external contacts, incident reports, and data is up to date.
  • Assists with the timely issuance of operational communications and alerts.
  • Builds relationships as a credible and trusted business partner.
  • Closely collaborates with Payment Operations leadership to ensure relevant procedures and training materials are updated.
  • Identifies and supports operations enhancements and operational best- practices that improve organizational operating efficiency.
  • Understands and complies with all applicable federal and state laws and payment processing regulations and company policies and procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics.
  • 1- 2 years related experience
  • Independent, self-motivated, intelligent, entrepreneurial
  • Knowledge of the payments industry, including payment processing, credit card interchange and scheme fees and other payment methods.
  • Effectively collaborates with others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule, and manage work hours and small projects.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide array of people on many different levels.
  • Strong time management, task management, and business analyst skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid judgment, problem solving, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of a MS Excel is critical. Experience with project/change management system such as Microsoft Project will be valuable.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and experience to document and implement solutions in partnership with subject matter experts, business owners, and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • A proven track record of demonstrating innovation and change management.
  • Effectively collaborates with others to achieve organizational goals.
