Ontario Systems has a new and exciting position as an Integration Engineer in our Enterprise Data & Analytics Department.

Location This position will be remote. Candidate may work where they live anywhere in the United States.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with business teams and product owners to gather operational process requirements involving upstream and downstream applications and recommend integration solutions, e.g., bi-directional, near-real-time, trigger based, that ensure continuity of information end-to-end.
  • Perform proof of concept to compare and contrast middleware tools, providing a recommendation for the enterprise’s technical landscape and perspective on use of a pub-sub design solution.
  • Choose and implement middleware solution (e.g., Boomi,, Workato, or MuleSoft) to integrate current and future system applications.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and grow system integration solutions to trigger the sending/receiving of data across business applications to ensure a complete end-to-end business workflow.
  • Build DevOps infrastructure and processes to ensure a scaled and reliable integration solution is established, including version control, test validations, integrations and deployments using Git, Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Design robust monitoring and error-logging solutions to ensure any loss of interoperability is known and acted upon in a timely manner.
  • Assure successful system interoperability through automated and manual testing. Develop verification and test strategies utilizing industry standards.
  • Work within the technical layout of the business applications to expose data through their respective API solutions.
  • Assist in roadmap and planning activities to identify near, and long-term integration priorities based on development estimates and related dependencies.
  • Create architectural diagrams to communicate design specifications, data lineage across systems, and known interdependencies in the deployment processes.
  • Interface with adjacent teams, including business users across Sales Operations, Client Success, Services, Product Research & Development, and Accounting to design the integration solutions to meet their end-to-end business process requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members supporting the operational business applications to identify gaps in data availability and collaborate on source application enhancements that impact the integration landscape.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related qualitative field, or foreign degree equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in system integration or data engineering and building middleware / ESB solutions.
  • 1+ years using more than 1 integration tool, such as Informatica, Boomi,, Workato, MuleSoft, or other cloud-based pub-sub models.
  • Experience working within an agile team, leveraging DevOps concepts and agile-enablement tools including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Working knowledge in use of source control tool, setup of Git and related version control and CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
  • Experience is a plus in managing the integration across the following business applications: Salesforce, NetSuite, Gainsight, Clarizen, ADP, and Jira
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal presentation skills to present insights and compelling recommendations to a diverse and often senior audience including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to the evolving needs of a high-growth SaaS business and create pragmatic and innovative solutions to complex business problems.
  • Goes beyond merely delivering the asks from business partners and leaders, conducts critical thinking and takes initiatives to deep dive and identify undiscovered areas for the best outcomes.
  • Exceptional ability to build cross-functional business partnerships; communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with leaders in the sales and business development organizations.
  • Can be highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-pace and dynamic work environment.
