Acumentrics is seeking a Solderer Assembler to support the assembly and soldering of a wide range of production and prototype printed circuit boards and assemblies. The Solderer – Assembler will work with both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components across digital, analog, and power device technologies and may install these PCBAs onto subassemblies. You will ensure the quality and reliability of electronic assemblies by performing precise soldering tasks, supporting production requirements, and assembling electric modules.

 

Solderer – Assembler Job Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in electronics assembly
  • Surface mount SMT and THT soldering and rework experience required; knowledge of quality standards (IPC-A-610)
  • Electro-mechanical assembly skills utilizing various tools and soldering equipment, with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and determine the quality of components, PCB fabs, and wire assemblies
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, drawings, engineering instructions, and follow processes
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive, self-confident, team player with a desire to learn
  • Must be able to carry and/or lift up to 25 lbs.

Solderer – Assembler Job Responsibilities

  • Assemble individual circuit boards (PCB and protoboard), solder SMT and THT components onto circuit boards
  • Wire and assemble electronic modules using cables, PCBAs and various fasteners
  • Meet and exceed customer requirements using IPC A-610 standards
  • Modify and update existing PCBAs to support engineering change notices
  • Follow detailed work instructions to solder devices to support production
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including stock of various electrical components and related parts
  • Adhere to ESD policies and procedures
  • Perform visual and electrical inspection on completed assemblies
  • Provide feedback to engineers on hardware documentation and suggest assembly improvements
